The First Separation

It is very scary if someone is separated from someone they love. I faced that fear when I went to a camp for the first time. I was separated from my parents whom I love the most. However, I  thought that it was time to be separated for at least one day from my comfort-zone.

My first separation from my parents was such a terrifying but exciting experience. I was in 4th grade at that time and I had to go to an English camp in Korea with my classmates for 3 days. That day, I looked at the long row of buses waiting to take me to a fun but dreadful place. But, I was very excited and had a big smile on my face. I said "Hi" to everybody I met who could be my friend that I would sleep with. After the bell rang we went out to the parking lot to ride the bus.
As soon as we reached the camp, I was exhausted because of talking too much with my friend on the bus. As soon as we got out of the bus, we were assigned to our rooms. I realized that I was in the same room as my best friend. I was so happy and though that I was lucky. But, this happy situation led to a bad one.
After one day, I was so homesick. The food there was disgusting compared to the food my mother cooked for me. Also, I couldn't sleep very well because the dormitory was a very different environment. It was, hard for me to adjust. Soon, it was time to go home. I was so glad that it is almost impossible to explain it with only words. As soon as I saw my mom, I began to cry in my mother's arms. I talked about my first experience of being separated from my parents.
The first separation from my parents was a hard experience. I never though that being separated would be so hard. Especially my parents are very bossy to me so that I would even want to leave them for a while. But, after this experience, I realized that staying away from my parents are the hardest thing ever.

An Ode to a Lamp

Oh! It's getting dark
It's time to work
Becoming bright
With only a spark of light

Brightening our house
I LOVE LAMP!!!!!!
Brightening our village
Even brightening our world

Without you I can't live
That is what I believe

Forever I will use
A lamp on my desk

You will always brighten us
Forever and always

The Person I Honor The Most

Oprah Wimfrey
talking to the audience
I recently read many books about Oprah Wimfrey and I realized that she was a great person. Soon, Oprah Wimfrey became the person I honor and respect. I like her and respect her because she succeeded even though she faced many difficulties and problems.
I respect Oprah Wimfrey because she had a hard time during her childhood. She lived in a house that is in a  poor condition. But, she always read books and could study much faster than other children. She only lived with her mother who had other children to take care of and had to work everyday. Oprah Wimfrey had strong endurance to keep on studying in that condition.

I also respect Oprah Wimfrey because she went to good college even though she found racial discrimination there. She was a black person but most people in that college was white. She always tried hard and tried to overcome that racial discrimination by her skill. As a result to that hard work, she became a very famous talkshower.
In conclusion, Oprah Wimfrey is the most honorable person tome. She is one of the people who lived in a poor condition and succeeded with endurance.
